Thank you to everyone who came to our Harvest Party last weekend. We had great weather and good times. A special thanks to all of you who helped with preparations for the party.
A few other bits of news…
Mom & Dad Lambrecht – THANK YOU – Just a special thanks to Jake’s parents for once again helping grow some of the produce you all enjoy. They live in western Wisconsin, but love to help grow veggies (using the same organic-type methods we use at the farm). Some of the vegetables they provided this year were storage onions, potatoes (the ones this week), radishes, etc.
Storage Shares – Coming in December! – While our regular share season will come to an end in November, we always plant extra storage veggies for a one-time winter share delivery in December. The storage share averages 40-50 pounds and has Beets, Carrots, Cabbage, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Onions, Popcorn, Winter Squash, Oranges (Florida-grown/organic), eggs, and possibly a few other items if they store well for us (turnips, pie pumpkins, radishes.) The cost is $50 for the share and it will be delivered to your home about a week or so before Christmas. Please consider the share and let us know as soon as possible how many you would like – we usually run out so get your orders in early!
Eggs for Sale – Eggs are back at the market! We will be selling them at $3.00/dozen. They are pastured, happy chickens. If interested, please bring cash or check.
Cheese Available! Order by October 25th – Samples Tomorrow! – After several people expressed interest in wanting to purchase cheese, we have found a local source that offers, prize-winning artisan cheese in Cleveland, Wis.: Saxon Creamery. The milk used to make the cheese is sourced from grass-fed cows. Again this Saturday, we will be offering FREE samples, with descriptions and the prices of available cheeses. Anyone interested, we ask that you place orders by Saturday (Oct 25th) at 6pm. (We apologize we gave you the wrong due date last newsletter…the good news is you have more time to let us know now!)
See you Saturday!
