News From the Farm – Sep 6

Welcome to September! We are already feeling some of the crisp cool air of fall, aren’t we? We have a lot of produce still coming in for harvest and expect this trend to continue so long as we don’t get an early frost.

Just some notes on some of the items this week:
– We are in between plantings of cantaloupe so this week it is “first come; first served.” We expect a larger quantity of cantaloupe in a week or two when the second planting is ready.
– There will be no lettuce this week. The warm temps last week caused some unexpected bolting. Our apologies.
– Our broccoli and cauliflower plantings are ready early so we are including them in the market this weekend. That was a nice, unexpected surprise. We hope you enjoy!

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
