The farm is doing really well lately thanks to the plentiful and regular rain. Many of the crops – including everyone’s favorites of beets and eggplant – are still growing strong. We marked an exciting milestone of the season this week: we finished our last direct seeding in the greenhouse and fields. We planted cooler weather crops like kohlrabi, radishes and spinach and it is quite exciting (at least for us) that we don’t have to fathom moving seedlings again until next spring rolls around. Ah…the rhythms of farm life!
PS – We also butchered chickens this past Thursday. Click here for more information about purchasing whole chickens if you are interested.
